​Hello, my friends!! I'm glad you could stop by today.

I've got something to show you.

-Super-stoked, that you are here.

This pair has been in my subconscious for a long time, waiting to be completed.

They are Huginn and Muninn, the ravens of the Norse God Odin.

(These two are sent out by the All-father each day, to gather knowledge and wisdom from all the Nine Realms.)

Huginn is a Norse word, which means, 'Thought'.

To me, he is our inner thought, as plan our lives every day, in our minds.

-Ever hopeful. Always looking forward.

Muninn on the other hand, means 'Memory'.

-He represents all of our life-experiences to me.

All of the things we can't hang onto.

-All the things we cannot keep, that yet remain within us.

Alongside our thoughts, our memories define who we are, as we move through this life.

..In the top picture, I completed the right-side painting first.

I mistook him for Thought then, with his outreached claw. 

 As I've worked on the second, left-side painting above (in progress now), I saw my error.

I realized that the upward pose, looking forward to the future, is what thinking is all about.

While the outreached claw in the finished piece? -I see it now.

It seeks the past.

​Ever out of reach.

I found all of this stuff to be important, and highly entertaining. I've been geeking out about it all day, in fact.

I had to tell somebody. So, I thought I would share it with you here!
