Here is the beginning sketch of a new Thor Comic Book Cover canvas idea- This is a 12" x16" canvas, and is an original work, not copied or based on a previously released comic. This will be an acrylic work, meant as a tribute, and to look like a classic cover from the comics, with elements of Thor comics from the 60's 70's and 80's. Next week this will have some color to show!

Continuing with the LOTR, and now I am about mmmm, I'd Say 90% there, with only a few more highlights and details all around, including Frodo and the Ringwraith. After the main image, I will put in Elvish Runes on the top and bottom bars; stay tuned next week! Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel :) And, continuing from last week, here are the steps I took with it for this week:
This week's current work in progress is a Lord of the Rings Commission (see below). It is about 80% finished, and still needs further highlights - the bottom right corner needs development where Mr. Frodo will be hiding behind the Willow tree, more light sources all around, further coloring on the RingWraith, some more details on the two little heads of Pippin and Merry behind the Wraith, and also I will put Elvish runes (from Tolkien's own hand!) all along the top and bottom orange bars that read out the "One Ring To Rule Them All" poem that features prominently in the books and the films. This scene is taken directly from the book, rather than the film, and has been an exercise in full-on geekiness. I will post further progress and/or the finished piece next Thursday :) And here below are all the steps taken so far: Thanks for checking out my blog!!
