For this week, I got into an older project I'd started a few months ago, which had been interrupted by other commissions and life issues - It is a thrill to revisit 'The Good The Bad And The Ugly' here now!!
I hope you enjoy the process; below is a short gallery of progress pics and source references for this painting, followed by Part 2 of the Painting Video Log!
And here is Part two of the Video Series, this time laying in beginning background colors, grey tones and values:
Thanks for checking out the work, and see you next week!

We have arrived at Part 3, and the final Video Log Chapter for how I worked out 'A Dog Named Maybe', a recent Pet Commission I did for a local pet store here in town. Thanks for dropping in!
For me, at this stage (and this goes for any painting I do), stuff really starts to get fun.
All the values have been laid in, and it's now about layering in colors and making everything pop all around the painting. Everyone sees the colors first when they look at a painting, but the only reason the colors really stand out is because of all the layers underneath.
Check out the whole story below!
And here below are the pics taken after each session on this project:
And this is the finished piece, one more time:
Thanks for checking out this video Blog, and take care everyone!
-Have a great day.
Hey guys, welcome back! -You're just in time for part 2 or 3 on this one 👍
Last week, we set up the sketch-work and the base background elements for Maybe, and this week, we are continuing with Maybe's values in black, white and grey tones. Check out the new video below, with the end-of-each-session pics:
And here for your amusement and edification is the finished piece once more; the final video on this project next week will show how we add all the color layers to finish the painting:
