Hey Guys, Happy Sunday! -I think I will just dive right in today. I am officially doing Digital Art Painting sessions twice a month now, moving from Charcoal on paper sessions to digitally painting on rendered line drawings. (See today's Video sample.) The way these will work: -I provide a pencil line-drawing of our session topic. (Today's Session was Queen Amidala from Star Wars; Phantom Menace, and is shown in today's video). -I will share how I digitally paint in the image, using Photoshop with a Wacom pen and tablet. -We'll paint on this drawing together, in real time (either on Google Meets or Zoom), over the course of several sessions, and using screen-sharing I'll work with you on your rendition while sharing my own efforts with you. If you have Photoshop or a comparable digital illustration tool (Pro-Create seems to be popular these days), and a Digital Tablet with a pen to paint with, you will be set to join in! -Most digital art programs (like Photoshop and Pro-Create) can be purchased with monthly subscription costs between $8 to $10/month. -You can get set-up to paint with a digital pen and tablet for about $30-$40 (or more, if you want to get fancy). Reach out if you are interested in joining in, and I can help you find a tablet and program that is best for you!
Next Session is coming up on Sunday, May 23rd @ 2:00 pm pacific time! Please reach out if interested, and I would be happy to help you set up to paint, and please to give you a free session link to join in as a guest, to try out a session with me. Thanks for stopping in, and as ever thank you for your support on my various projects and efforts here. Have a great week ahead, and talk with you all soon! Andy

Happy Sunday to everyone! I would like to fill you all in on current goings on- my twice-a-month Art sessions have evolved from working in Charcoal to digital painting!! Yes that is right- my next Virtual Art Workshop (on SUNDAY, MAY 25th @2:00 pm pacific time) will be our second digital Painting Workshop! I am working for the moment in Photoshop, while my current artistic collaborator is working in Pro-Create; we are both using digital tablets and pen tools for rendering our images. Next week, we are doing a digital painting of Queen Amidala from Star Wars, Episode I, taken from this image below: Should You Wish To Take on This Mission (and drop by the Virtual Workshop to see what all the commotion is about), Read on below!
I am sharing layered files, working on in real time in Photoshop, and sharing my process with everyone in session with me. -I am basically sharing my coloring book with you guys. Good times! I have sketched out Queen Amidala in pencil for our first layer to digitally color, so we will all be adding color layers from there, All the necessary tools are very accessible and affordable. -If you have a desktop PC, laptop, Mac or iPad, all you will need is either Photoshop, or Pro-Create, ( $10/month rental fee from these respective program providers,) and Tablet with Pen (these days, you can acquire these for anywhere from $30 to $40, or more if you want to get fancy.) If you are interested in digital painting, (or know someone who is), drop me a line! -I can help you get set up for the next session. Thanks for checking in you guys! Have a nice evening, Andy C.
