Happy Sunday to everyone! I would like to fill you all in on current goings on- my twice-a-month Art sessions have evolved from working in Charcoal to digital painting!! Yes that is right- my next Virtual Art Workshop (on SUNDAY, MAY 25th @2:00 pm pacific time) will be our second digital Painting Workshop! I am working for the moment in Photoshop, while my current artistic collaborator is working in Pro-Create; we are both using digital tablets and pen tools for rendering our images. Next week, we are doing a digital painting of Queen Amidala from Star Wars, Episode I, taken from this image below:

I am sharing layered files, working on in real time in Photoshop, and sharing my process with everyone in session with me. -I am basically sharing my coloring book with you guys. Good times! I have sketched out Queen Amidala in pencil for our first layer to digitally color, so we will all be adding color layers from there, All the necessary tools are very accessible and affordable. -If you have a desktop PC, laptop, Mac or iPad, all you will need is either Photoshop, or Pro-Create, ( $10/month rental fee from these respective program providers,) and Tablet with Pen (these days, you can acquire these for anywhere from $30 to $40, or more if you want to get fancy.) Hello and Happy Sunday everyone! (This Post and Video was originally presented on my Patreon site two weeks prior, and is re-presented here now): Thanks for dropping in! -You are just in time- here's the latest Sketch Tutorial Video for you; this week's subject is the inimitable Sir Ian McKellen as the venerable wizard from the Lord Of The Rings! I cover all the usual challenges of rendering values, contracts and proportions in this one-hour timed session, squeezed down to about 7.5 minutes for your abbreviated amusement :) For those of you ready to try this project yourselves: I've included the source image and my Charcoal supply lists below, and encourage you all to stop by one of my twice-a-month Virtual Art sessions every other Sunday at 2:00 pm to work on projects like this one!
