Hey everyone, Thanks so much for dropping in! Getting back into the fantastic world of painting, and not a moment too soon. I am very pleased to be back in a regular painting routine. So much has happened in my life during the last few months, and it's taken me a bit of time to recover and get back into a groove. Finished this commission on New Year's Day, and finally able to post and share it with you today. If you enjoy the video above and you're interested in learning more about painting, check out my 'Extended Dapper Dan Dog' Acrylic tutorial on Patreon! This extended video (and many others) available for $5 per month on my Patreon site! These exclusive videos are slowed down, and generally offer 20 minute, narrated tutorials detailing how this painting was made. It is so nice to be back doing this. Thank you for dropping by to see what I am up to in here! Take care, and stay tuned for next week's part 2, and on into the year ahead.
Have a great day everyone. Andy

Andy C. Happy Wednesday everyone, Welcome to the latest installment on 'The Good, Bad & Ugly Revisited' Project! Thanks for dropping in. This week I am getting into values for Tuco with a little set up for Angel Eyes, (played by Eli Wallach and Lee Van Cleef, respectively from the classic film), and some graveyard value set-ups and color layering... Enjoy, and let me know what you think! And below is the progression from last week's effort to compare through to this week: Thanks for checking in everyone, have a fantastic day out there, and hope to see you all next week👍
Take care, Andy C. Hey everyone, welcome back! I am continuing on with The Good, Bad & Ugly Revisited Project this week, and getting into values and color layers for Clint over here👍 Without further fanfare, let's get into Part 4! Here is a before-and-after, from last week's chapter to this week's chapter thus far: I'll keep it short and sweet this week - Thanks so much for stopping by, and for checking in on this project!! I hope you are enjoying how it progresses and develops as much as I am.
Although I usually have a fair idea of what I would like my canvas to look like at the end, the truth is that it unfolds and reveals itself to me as I go, in spite of my best planning. Take care everyone, and see you next week. Andy C. Welcome back everyone! You're just in time for Part 3 on this Acrylic canvas tribute project for 'the Good The Bad and the Ugly'! This one is not a commission by the way; it's a personal project that I've been wanting to do for a while, so I'm now taking a few weeks to work on with you. This week's segment is all about lettering, sunsets and cowboy hats. Enjoy! So here is where we are on this piece to date, as of tonight: Stay tuned next week for face tones and...sand. Yes, lots of sand. And Tombstones. Lots of Tombstones. And Tumbleweeds. We need to have Tumbleweeds! I mean, Westerns NEED tumbleweeds, by Golly by Gum.
Have a great week everyone. 👍 Andy Hey everyone, For this week, I got into an older project I'd started a few months ago, which had been interrupted by other commissions and life issues - It is a thrill to revisit 'The Good The Bad And The Ugly' here now!! And here is Part two of the Video Series, this time laying in beginning background colors, grey tones and values: Thanks for checking out the work, and see you next week!

Happy Wednesday to you 👍 We have arrived at Part 3, and the final Video Log Chapter for how I worked out 'A Dog Named Maybe', a recent Pet Commission I did for a local pet store here in town. Thanks for dropping in! For me, at this stage (and this goes for any painting I do), stuff really starts to get fun. All the values have been laid in, and it's now about layering in colors and making everything pop all around the painting. Everyone sees the colors first when they look at a painting, but the only reason the colors really stand out is because of all the layers underneath. Check out the whole story below! And here below are the pics taken after each session on this project: And this is the finished piece, one more time: Thanks for checking out this video Blog, and take care everyone!
